Once your order has been packed up for shipment, you will receive an email with tracking information. We charge a flat rate of $20 per shipment unless you are a Cask Club member. Cask Club members receive complimentary shipping on all orders. If you would like to join our club, you can learn more by visiting the club page here.

Once we have packed up your order, we will send you an email with pick up instructions. Once you have this email, you are set to come down to the distillery to pick up your order. You can pick up orders between 12:00PM and 5:00PM seven days per week with the exception of some holidays.

For Westward Whiskey Club orders, refer to the Club Timeline in the email you received announcing the Club release, or email club@westwardwhiskey.com.

All online pick-up orders can be collected from our distillery tasting room located at 65 SE Washington Street, Portland, Oregon 97214.

Visiting Westward

We have four locations in Oregon.

  • Our distillery is located in Southeast Portland at 65 SE Washington street, right in the heart of Portland's Distillery Row.
  • We have two tasting rooms at the Portland International Airport located in Concourse C and E.
  • Our pop-up location is located at 1430 NW 23rd Ave, Portland, OR 97210.

To account for COVID-related precautions we have limited hours. We encourage you to call ahead to confirm that we are open.

At the distillery location, guests are welcome to walk in for bottle purchases Thursday through Monday from noon - 5pm. We are also taking tasting reservations through our website. For current days and hours, please check our website.

The Airport location in Concource C is open 9AM to 5PM seven days a week.

Hours for the kiosk at the Portland International Airport in Concourse E vary.

Our Northwest 23rd Location is open Fri & Sat 2PM to 7PM and Sun 12PM to 5PM.

Portland has amazing public transportation; the TriMet bus service or streetcar will drop you off just 3 blocks away. There is also a complimentary shuttle, just get off at the Smith Tea stop. More information on the shuttle service can be found here.

We suggest using public transportation or a ride-share service to promote responsible enjoyment of our spirits.

There is a parking lot at the distillery and some limited street parking available.

With the current COVID-related precautions, reservations are required. Please visit our distillery page to make your reservation.

Service animals are always welcome. While Oregon law prohibits pets inside our establishment, we do have a patio area where pets are welcome.

We do not serve food, but you are welcome to bring in outside food. No outside beverages are permitted.

There are many great restaurants in the area: Olympic Provisions, Wayfinder, Produce Row Cafe and Loyal Legion, to name a few.

Our tasting room is ADA compliant. However, there are portions of the distillery tour that are not accessible.

You will begin the tour with a welcome cocktail in our tasting room. From there you will follow the grain to glass story, learning how every batch of Westward American Single Malt is made start to finish from scratch. While touring the distillery you'll get to taste: Pacific Northwest malted barley, beer wash and un-aged new make whiskey. The tour concludes with a whiskey flight featuring several expressions of Westward American Single Malt Whiskey. Each tour and tasting is $30 per person.

No, we have several flight options that allow for you to taste: Westward American Single Malt, cocktails and various other spirits.

Guests should arrive 10-15 minutes prior to their scheduled tour. The distillery sits adjacent to the railroad tracks and trains can often cause delays. If you get stuck don't worry, we are right on the other side with a cocktail waiting.

Please check in with one of our team members inside the tasting room so that we can welcome you and start you off with a cocktail. From there we will set you up with your guide and begin the tour.

Tours are approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Minors are allowed in the tasting room with adult accompaniment, of course. As we are a working distillery, tour participants must be 21 years of age or older.

You are certainly more than welcome to join us on the tour but seeing as the Westward experience is all encompassing, you would still be required to pay the full tour cost.

This certificate is good for a tour or tasting of one’s choosing for up to four people. All participants must be present at the time of redemption, this offer may not be combined with other offers, and has no cash value.

Westward & Products

Yes, distilled spirits, even if made from wheat, barley, or rye, are considered gluten-free. Most liquors are safe for people with celiac disease because of the distillation process.

Westward Whiskey can be purchased at each of our locations. We sell our whiskeys and merchandise online at WestwardWhiskey.com. Please note that due to alcohol shipping regulations, we can ship our whiskies to select states.

Westward American Single Malt is made by using locally malted barley, ale yeast and a slow, low temperature fermentation. We distill twice in custom low-reflux pot stills that we designed to create a robust spirit, and transform our fresh, flavorful Ale into whiskey. We mature to perfection in new, lightly charred American Oak barrels selected to accentuate the bold characteristics of our whiskey. We mingle our barrels in small batches to achieve Westward’s signature flavor profile – balanced and bold.



Westward Whiskey Club

Membership is free and flexible. Choose from two membership options, customize your quarterly selection, and pay only for the whiskey purchased. For each quarterly release, Explorer Club members pay approximately $90 and Cask Club members pay approximately $270.

Each release is a special and unique offering curated by our distillery team. It could feature a different barrel finish, yeast strain or mash bill. Each expression showcases our love of experimentation and is always true to Westward’s mission to reimagine single malt and elevate American whiskey.

Members can either swap the current release for another bottle or opt to skip a release. To make adjustments to your quarterly release, log into your account to make changes or email club@westwardwhiskey.com for help.

The club has four automatic releases each year as well as additional optional releases throughout the year.

We can currently ship to Oregon and Washington D.C.

Due to shipping regulations, club shipments are only available in Oregon and Washington, D.C. at this time. If you live outside of these areas and are able to travel to pick up your releases in person, we are happy to hold onto your whiskies until you are able to make it to the distillery.

The Distillery Tasting Room is open from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday. Our airport tasting room at Portland International Airport is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. To select a pick up location, log into your account or contact club@westwardwhiskey.com.

We offer a one-time only 20% discount for all members. Members can also enjoy 15% Westward Whiskey merchandise.

When signing up you are agreeing to commit to the Club for one year or four quarterly releases. However, we understand that circumstances can change, and you may cancel anytime but notifying us directly at club@westwardwhiskey.com. We will never cancel your membership without you notifying us to do so.

The Westward Experience is a distillery tour and tasting. It features an in-depth look into our four-step production process of brewing, distillation, maturation and mingling, before finishing with a guided tasting featuring several expressions of our award-winning American single malt whiskies. Club members receive a complimentary Westward Experience one time annually. Explorer members may bring one guest, Cask members may bring three guests.

Archived whiskey is whiskey we have laid down in our vault from previous years. We have held onto small amounts of whiskey over the years and our Club members have exclusive access to taste, and purchase, some of these extremely rare whiskeys. We offer Vault Tastings, led by our head distiller, to feature this archived whiskey.

Each event is inspired by the whiskey being released, unique and tailored to our club members. We are always listening, so please tell us what you would like to drink, distill, and explore. Here is a taste our past events:

American Two Malts – November 2019
Hop on the bus and ride out to Jenny, our barrel house to feast on food paired with our latest release and a signature cocktail. Take an intimate tour with our team through the rack house, sampling whiskey along the way and learning how whiskey ages throughout its years in maturation.

Phaedrus IPA Finish – February 2020
Join us at our collaborator’s brewery for a casual happy hour with food, beer and, of course, sampling the latest release with fellow members. Meet the brewers and distillers for a firsthand understanding of the collaboration that made this release possible.

Ken Forkish Artisan Sourdough – August 2020
Stop by the distillery for a cocktail and some connection. Meet our dedicated team and learn from those responsible for the whiskey in your glass. Take home the simple reminder of caring for others and for what you create, oh… and a beautiful, freshly picked peach.
